The Facts

The Environmental Protection Agency estimate that there are at least 2 billion disposable razors which are thrown into the landfill every year.

According to National Geographic, 73% of all beach litter is plastic.

Statista estimated that 163 million consumers in the U.S. used disposable razors in 2018.

The United Nations found that plastic ingestion kills an estimated 1 million marine birds and 100,000 marine animals each year.

The equivalent of a truckload of plastic enters the ocean every minute according to The World Economic Forum.

Although most disposable razors are made of plastic, you typically can’t recycle them as they are, due to their make up of lots of different materials.
